MailStore Version 24.4: New MailStore App for Outlook

We’d like to present a new version of our email archiving software today: Version 24.4 of MailStore Server, the MailStore Service Provider Edition (SPE) and MailStore Gateway is now available.

New Features in MailStore Version 24.4

MailStore version 24.4 includes the new MailStore App for Outlook, which enables direct access to MailStore in Outlook. In addition, MailStore V24.4 now also supports archiving emails with binary content from MailStore Gateway V24.4 (or newer MailStore Gateway versions in the future).

New MailStore App for Outlook

With the new MailStore App for Outlook, MailStore can be accessed directly in Outlook for Microsoft 365 and Outlook on the Web. The app provides the functionality of MailStore Web Access directly in Outlook. Further details can be found in our online help.

Note: The already known MailStore Outlook Add-in still exists and works with all Outlook versions that do not have app support. The MailStore Outlook Add-in does not work for the app-supported Outlook versions in Microsoft 365 and Outlook on the Web. For these Outlook versions the new MailStore App for Outlook is required.

Archiving Emails With Binary Content From MailStore Gateway 24.4

The receipt of Microsoft 365 journal messages from MailStore Gateway has been improved, as messages with binary content can now also be received and archived via the BDAT SMTP command (RFC 3030).

Security has also been enhanced. The MailStore Gateway service now uses .NET 8.

Updated Certification: Meeting Data Privacy Requirements

As usual, the latest version of our software, Version 24.4 of MailStore Server and the MailStore SPE, has been certified by an independent data privacy expert.

The certification takes into account all relevant aspects of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and affirms that, when used appropriately, both MailStore Server and the MailStore SPE meet all the requirements governing the processing of personal data set out in the GDPR.

You can download the new version of MailStore Server, the MailStore Service Provider Edition und MailStore Gateway free of charge from our website.
