MailStore Version 26.3: Easier Migration to the Cloud

We’d like to present version 26.3 of our email archiving software MailStore Server, the MailStore Service Provider Edition (SPE), MailStore Gateway, MailStore Home and MailStore Cloud, which is now available.

New Features in MailStore Server and the MailStore SPE Version 26.3

Up to Ten Emails Can Be Resend at Once in the Web Access

Using Web Access has been made significantly easier in MailStore Server and in the MailStore SPE: Whereas previously emails could only be resent one at a time, you can now select up to 10 emails at once and resend them. This noticeably speeds up the recovery process and makes working with multiple emails much more convenient.

MailStore Connects to the IceWarp Maintenance API to Synchronize and Authenticate User

The IceWarp integration has been modernized in MailStore Server and in the MailStore SPE to improve reliability and compatibility. Because the previous API was no longer supported and caused synchronization issues, it has been replaced with the new SOAP API. This update restores stable and automated user synchronization, ensuring a dependable connection between MailStore and the IceWarp environment.

Further Improvements and Bug Fixes

In addition, we have made several improvements to the management API in MailStore Server and in the MailStore SPE. We have also updated various third-party components in MailStore Server, the MailStore SPE, and MailStore Home to enhance security and manageability.

New Features in MailStore Cloud Version 26.3

Easy Bulk Imports

New import capabilities make it much easier to handle large-scale email imports and streamline the migration of existing MailStore Server and MailStore SPE archives to MailStore Cloud. First, we expanded the import space to 1 TB, which allows customers to upload zipped email files from third party systems and exports from other MailStore products. Second, we have further automated the import of multiple ZIP and MSZIP files, which eliminates the need for manual intervention. MSZIP files, which are digitally signed exports from MailStore Server and the MailStore SPE, ensure that archived metadata — such as the original archiving date — is transferred accurately and reliably to MailStore Cloud.

Secure User Registration and Password Reset

The registration of new user accounts and password reset processes have been significantly improved and modernized. Instead of sending login credentials, users will now receive a secured registration link. Users and administrators can easily activate their accounts themselves using these links and set their own passwords immediately upon their first login. Password resets also work this way. This not only makes the entire process more secure, but also significantly easier and more user-friendly.

Service Admin – Remote Administration by Managed Service Providers and IT Resellers

The Service Admin (aka Reseller Admin) is specially designed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and IT resellers who manage MailStore Cloud organizations on behalf of their clients. This new user type does not require a separate user license. At the same time, data privacy is maintained, as a Service Admin never has access to the contents of their clients archive mailboxes. Partners can activate a Service Administrator conveniently on the MailStore Business Partner Portal or via the BP API.

Further Improvements and Bug Fixes

In addition, there are further improvements and bug fixes that enhance the overall user experience and system performance. For example, the folder synchronization in the “multiple mailboxes” mode can now be restricted to a subset of archive mailboxes within a directory service, enabling more granular and better-controlled deletion rules.

Updated Certification: Meeting Data Privacy Requirements

As usual, we have had the new version 26.3 of all MailStore products certified by an independent data privacy expert.

The certification takes into account all relevant aspects of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and affirms that, when used appropriately, all the requirements governing the processing of personal data set out in the GDPR are met.
