MailStore Version 23.4 now available

Easy archiving of NDRs and improved deletion of flagged emails

Viersen, December 13, 2023 +++ MailStore by OpenText, the German specialist for email archiving, today launches the new version 23.4 of its MailStore email archiving portfolio. The update enables MailStore customers, among other things, to optimally archive NDRs (non-delivery posts) and improves the ability to delete flagged emails.

From now on, administrators and users of MailStore Server and the MailStore Service Provider Edition (SPE), who also use Microsoft 365/Exchange Online, will have easier data recovery in cases where MailStore Gateway was not available and NDRs (Non-Delivery Reports) were sent to a failover mailbox (or an alternative journaling mailbox). By adding another archiving profile, journal reports embedded in NDRs can now be automatically imported into MailStore archives, which was previously not possible.

The new MailStore version 23.4 also now allows emails which were flagged in the mailbox to be automatically deleted. This has not been done so far because flagged emails could still be processed for follow-up. This option is now available in MailStore Server, the MailStore Service Provider Edition (SPE) and MailStore Home for all M365 and Exchange archiving profiles as well as all IMAP-based archiving profiles.

The new version also offers administrators more flexibility when defining archiving profiles, as the filter options can now be narrowed down more specifically with the query “younger than date X”. This can be of great use when migrating archives, for example. This function is now available in MailStore Server, the MailStore Service Provider Edition (SPE) and MailStore Home.

As usual, the V23.4 version of MailStore Server and the MailStore SPE were certified by an independent IT auditor and data privacy expert. The GDPR certificate relates to the processing of personal data, which for both solutions complies with the requirements of the EU’s GDPR and the Federal Data Protection Act (DSG) in Switzerland, respectively.
