New Archiving Profile Simplifies Migration Scenarios

MailStore Server 8.1 offers administrators added convenience in migration scenarios with an additional archiving profile. With it, emails from EML, MSG and PST files, which like multi-drop mailboxes were not stored separately by user, can now be automatically filed in the appropriate user archives according to their headers.

This feature simplifies all migration scenarios in which MailStore Server cannot directly access the existing email system, but where data instead must first be exported and then subsequently imported by MailStore.

Our support team is currently receiving an increasing number of requests from administrators affected by the discontinuation of Astaro Mail Archiver. These administrators are now faced with the challenge of having to transfer the emails backed up there to a new archiving system, meaning they, in particular, benefit from this new feature.
