MailStore Version 23.2 now available

Multi-Factor Authentication for Local Administrators and Users and Simplified Certificate Management via API for MailStore Business Solutions

Viersen, June 21, 2023 +++ MailStore by OpenText, the German specialist for email archiving, today launches the new version 23.2 of its MailStore email archiving portfolio. The update contains important new features, especially for the business solutions MailStore Server and MailStore Service Provider Edition (SPE).

Administrators can now set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) via the MailStore Client, the MailStore Outlook Add-in and the Web Access. This new feature affects users and admins who are created locally in the software. Optionally, an additional “Trusted Device” feature is available that reduces MFA code entries to bi-weekly. This new feature affects MailStore Server and MailStore SPE users with integrated authentication.

Another practical addition simplifies certificate management. Via the API, admins can now view a complete central list of all OAuth authentication certificates including their respective expiration dates. This allows upcoming renewals and extensions to be planned in good time. VARs and MSPs, who usually take care of the certificates of numerous customers, will benefit most from this improvement.

Speaking of certificates: The 23.2 versions of MailStore Server and MailStore SPE have been audited and certified by an independent IT auditor and data protection expert as standard. The certificate attests to both solutions’ EU-GDPR-compliant (respectively DSG-compliant in Switzerland) processing of personal data.
