Are MailStore products affected by Firebird Security issues?
Cause
The used Firebird versions are currently in the news because Firebird security alerts have been identified.
We take reports about security issues very seriously and monitor and scan our products using various techniques that themselves are continuously improved.
For disclosing security issues, MailStore follows the CVE Prozess. Regarding the security issues CVE-2026-40342, CVE-2026-28224 and CVE-2026-33337, we can confirm that MailStore products are NOT affected.
Our products are based Firebird Embedded and not Firebird Server and thus do not use the vulnerable components.
Because of this, no action from your side, such as updating your MailStore products, is necessary at this time, although
we recommend using the most current versions of our products on principle; these can be found here.
