Training Course for MailStore Certified Archiving Specialist (MCAS) Launched
We are delighted to inform you that MailStore Software is now offering the opportunity to gain certification as a MailStore Certified Archiving Specialist (MCAS) as part of the new international partner program. We asked Daniel Weuthen, Director of Technical Support at MailStore, about the new certification concept in order to give you a better insight into what MCAS is all about and, of course, to spark your interest.
How can MailStore partner and their employees benefit from MCAS certification?
Daniel Weuthen: Any number of our global partners’ technical employees can initially acquire solid background knowledge of MailStore Server and the most important aspects of email archiving using the guide on the training course. Certified employees can demonstrate their expertise to end customers and include MCAS among their qualifications. The training course in turn increases the market success of the reseller in question. Furthermore, at least one employee must be certified in order for the reseller to progress from an “Authorized” to a “Certified” partner.
What technical aspects does the MailStore Certified Archiving Specialist (MCAS) program cover?
Daniel Weuthen: The guide on the training course provided to registered participants gives a breakdown of all the important topics required to successfully implement MailStore Server – from hardware sizing, storage, user administration, and setting up archiving right through to accessing and exporting archived emails, archive backup and restore, and compliance.
Tell us more about the training course and the test.
Daniel Weuthen: Participants receive access credentials to the certification system and the guide on the training course. Once they have successfully completed the guide, the participant can use the access credentials to access the online test at any time. The test consists of 40 multiple choice questions and takes around one hour to complete. Those who successfully complete the test will receive a personal certificate via email and can officially include MCAS among their qualifications.
