TLS Encryption with Let’s Encrypt ™ Certificates: Hotfix Release for MailStore Server Now Available
If you’re using automated TLS encryption with certificates from Let’s Encrypt in MailStore Server, you should update to the latest Hotfix Release 12.0.6 as soon as possible.
Let’s Encrypt recently made a technical change to its operating environment. As a result, MailStore Server was no longer able to automatically renew Let’s Encrypt certificates for existing customers, while new customers or companies in the test phase weren’t even able to configure certificate requests via Let’s Encrypt. For this reason, we recommend that you carry out an update, otherwise you will receive certificate warnings in the future. Emails you’ve already archived aren’t at risk, and your archive will remain encrypted.
Please note: if you activate Automatic update check for server under Product Updates, MailStore Server will run a regular search for new versions for you. When a new version becomes available, this will appear on the dashboard in the MailStore Client. If you’ve entered a Recipient for Notifications in your SMTP settings, this person will be notified by email of any updates.
Existing customers should update their software using the Setup file for existing customers available via this link: https://www.mailstore.com/en/support/downloads-and-resources/.
