Summary
In MailStore Server, when restoring a message in Outlook by using the Outlook Add-in, the error message “Cannot copy the items. The folders you are trying to change do not support this operation. Sorry, Exchange ActiveSync doesn’t support what you are trying to do.” appears.
This issue was reported in (but may not be limited to):

- MailStore SPE
Resolution
Your Exchange mailbox is connected to Outlook through the ActiveSync protocol. This protocol does not support restoring messages in a way the MailStore Outlook Add-in expects. Connect Outlook with a different protocol, e.g. RPC/HTTP, to your Exchange mailbox to be able to restore messages with the MailStore Outlook Add-in.
Alternatively, the export could be done by using the MailStore Client and using an Exchange or IMAP export profile.
