MailStore Cloud Version 26.1: Forwarding Archived Emails and Improved Mailbox Archiving

We’d like to present V26.1 of our email archiving software MailStore Cloud, which is now available.

New Features in MailStore Version 26.1

With MailStore 26.1, you can look forward to the following new features:

Forwarding Archived Messages

With MailStore Cloud V26.1, users have the option to restore previously archived emails. Users can forward archived emails as attachments to an email in Web Access. An MS365 mailbox must be configured as the sender.

New Archiving Option: Mailbox Archiving by Message Date

Administrators can look forward to a new archiving option. Archiving from mailboxes can be restricted to emails of a certain age. For example, emails that are older than 10 years could be excluded from archiving. This prevents the archiving of email data that has already fulfilled its legal retention period.

Notifications for MailStore Cloud Status

Partners and customers can register at https://status.opentext.com/ and activate notifications for MailStore Cloud to be informed about downtimes or planned maintenance work and updates.
Here’s how it works: Simply click on the “SUBSCRIBE TO UPDATES” button, enter your email address, and confirm by clicking on “SUBSCRIBE VIA EMAIL.” Then, all you have to do is check the box next to MailStore Cloud and click on “SAVE” at the bottom of the page. You will receive an email from [email protected] asking you to confirm your registration.

Improved Security

Security is a top priority at MailStore. That is why active sessions are automatically terminated after a password change in MailStore Cloud 26.1. A login with the new password is required.
In addition, several internal components and third-party services have been updated.

Further Improvements and Bug Fixes

We have also made minor improvements and bug fixes that enhance the user experience. Among other things, the folder structure in Web Access is now displayed more quickly and the installation wizard for M365 has been optimized.

Updated Certification: Meeting Data Privacy Requirements

Version 26.1 of MailStore Cloud has been certified by an independent data privacy expert.

The certification takes into account all relevant aspects of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and affirms that, when used appropriately, MailStore Cloud meets all the requirements governing the processing of personal data set out in the GDPR.
